Lukas Kokail to lead GAK
Lukas Kokail has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the Austrian first division club GAK, taking over at the end of the current season. He joins from Admira Wacker, where he held responsibility for the club’s financial operations. Kokail brings international experience from roles in investment banking and consulting, including positions at Citi in London, Energie Steiermark, and in the football business sector at Unit11. He is also co-founder of Greenshield One GmbH, a financial solutions provider specializing in performance-related risk coverage within professional football.
Kokail told FBIN: “I am looking forward to this new role and the opportunity to help shape the future of GAK on the business side.”
Florian Holzbrecher leaves SV Darmstadt 98
Florian Holzbrecher will leave SV Darmstadt 98 at the end of the season after 14 years with the club. He accompanied the club’s journey from the 3. Liga to two promotions to the Bundesliga. While his next step is already decided, it has not yet been officially announced. Holzbrecher is also founder of tweam, a platform that connects professional athletes with companies to share knowledge, inspire teams, and support personal and professional development through sport.
Sveva Fabiani returns to AS Roma
Sveva Fabiani has rejoined AS Roma as Research & Insights Specialist in the club’s Business Analytics team. She previously worked with the club in a research internship role and returns after a short spell in business development at FC Como Women. Earlier, she gained experience in sport marketing and social media management with Luiss Basket. Her new position marks a return to the club where she already spent part of her early career.
Felipe Miñambres joins CD Tenerife
Felipe Miñambres has been appointed to the board of directors at CD Tenerife. He spent ten seasons at the club as a player and now returns in an executive function. Miñambres brings extensive experience from football leadership roles, including nine years as Director of Football at Rayo Vallecano, six years at Real Club Celta de Vigo, and three seasons at Levante UD.
John Martin to leave Shamrock Rovers
John Martin will step down as CEO of Shamrock Rovers after nearly two years in the role. He announced his departure while highlighting several milestones, including the club’s recent domestic and European success as well as new initiatives in education and community development. Prior to joining Shamrock Rovers, Martin worked in senior roles at Irish Life. His next role has not yet been announced.
