Biography
Henk-Frits Verkerk obtained his MSc in Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1993. He began his career in the world of pay TV, where he was part of the team at NetHold that launched the first digital TV platform in Europe. Following this pioneering experience, he worked as a managing consultant for a firm specializing in digital TV and digital transformation.
Henk-Frits then co-founded Sports Alliance with several partners. His first assignment was a year-long transformation project at Aston Villa Football Club. As the first-ever Consumer Sales Manager for Aston Villa, he modernized the club's consumer sales operations. The Villa project laid the foundation for Sports Alliance's service proposition.
Building on this experience, Henk-Frits played a crucial role in developing the 'Orange Box' marketing platform. During his time at Sports Alliance, he collaborated closely with various sports organizations to enhance their data-driven marketing strategies.
Under his leadership, Sports Alliance grew into a leading player in the sports marketing industry, culminating in its acquisition by KORE Software from the USA in 2022. This acquisition marked a significant milestone in expanding KORE Software's global footprint and solidified their position as a market leader in engagement marketing solutions.
Following the acquisition, Henk-Frits took on a new role at Two Circles, where he continues to leverage his expertise to help sports organizations personalize their fan experiences and optimize their marketing strategies.
